Stocksbridge Christian Centre (SCC) invited out Y2 children to take part in an Easter Celebration. The children really enjoyed their afternoon at SCC. The activities and learning were pitched just right for our children.

Forest Schools
We have been so lucky with the weather so far! Weeks 1-3 have seen Class 5 den build, pond dip, bug hunt, hill roll, tree climb and many other things in between.
Computing
The children in Class 5 have been learning to use the keyboard to word process. They have opened a word document, typed and changed the size and style of the font.
Year 1 visit to the EIS
W We had a wonderful time visiting the EIS to take part in a School's Sports Day. We ran, jumped, bounced, skipped and much more. What a great day we had!
Amy Johnson Role Play Adventures

Yorkshire Sculpture Park
As part of our Megastructure learning, we had a visit to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. It was very cold and snowy, but absolutely beautiful. The sculptures were great and the children enjoyed looking at them and making their own .
Local Area Geography Walk
To enhance our geography learning, we took the children out into the local area to identify human and physical features. The children were able to spot a whole range of things and could identify why we were in the countryside, discussing things like fields, dry stone...
The Creation Story
We have been learning that many Christians believe God was involved in the making of the world. We read about The Creation and learnt about what parts of our world was created on each day, according to the story. The children then ordered pictures from the story.
