The emphasis in Year Two is to follow the Key Stage One Curriculum, which focuses on the development of the individual child and provides high quality learning opportunities for the children to learn through play. The children are able to explore, take risks, have fun, form friendships, think critically and form their own ideas.

National Fitness Day
Class 3 had a great time celebrating National Fitness Day. We played Excercise Bingo and taste tested some fruits and vegetables. The children enjoyed trying new foods in class.

As part of our Golden Time activities on a Friday, we take some children over to our local residential home, Alpine Lodge. Amongst the range of activities, the children do with the residents, reading to them is a firm favourite.

Today we welcomed Richard to our school. He is going to be our new school crossing patrol. Richard visited all the classes today to introduce himself. He talked about how we can cross the roads safely.
