Mothers Day
For Mothers' Day we invited our mums, grandmas, aunts and friends into school to celebrate with us. We sang for them, had quizzes, baked buns, made cards and gave flowers. Everyone had a really great time.
Nurturing Nature
For our 'Nurturing Nature' topic this half term, Class 2 have enjoyed planting their own sunflower seeds and taking them home to nurture. We have learned new vocabulary such as germinate and seed dispersal. We are also investigating what seeds need to grow. We think...
Morning sounds
In music we started creating musical soundscapes and today's soundscape was focussed on the noises we hear in a morning. The children thought of all the noises they hear when they wake up in the morning and chose one to represent. They chose a musical instrument which...
KS1 Puppet Making
As part of our Hidden Heroes theme, the children in Years 1 and 2 designed and made their own puppet. We saw some wonderful designs, excellent cutting skills and some stitching that would put some adults to shame! Fantastic work everybody.
Year Two visit the English Institute of Sport.
We took part in a city-wide sports day event at the English Institute of Sport. Everyone gave it their all and we had a wonderful, if tiring, day.
Tile printing in Reception
In art, the children have been learning how to tile print with one colour.
EIS Year 2 Sports Day
We were lucky enough to take part in the Year 2 Sports event at the EIS. There were lots of fun activities and all the children had a wonderful time. The adults were so proud of the children and their amazing behaviour.
World Book Day 2024
This year many children took part in the Great British Book Off, and produced a culinary delight linked to a book. The entries were absolutely amazing. Congratulations to all who took part. Alongside this the children dressed as an 'adjective.' We had lots of amazing...
Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel
We are taking part in Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel. Last week the children 'blinged' their bikes and scooters and we had a lovely parade in the playground.
World Book Day
