‘Learning For Life’

Welcome to Class 3

Welcome to Year Two

The emphasis in Year Two is to follow the Key Stage One Curriculum, which focuses on the development of the individual child and provides high quality learning opportunities for the children to learn through play. The children are able to explore, take risks, have fun, form friendships, think critically and form their own ideas.

We had such a good time at the swimming baths with the children.  Lots overcame their nerves, had fun, enjoyed themselves and became more confident.

Last Golden Stars of 2025

This morning we held our last Golden Star Assembly of 2025. It was a fun affair when the slideshow decided to have a mind of it's own! Congratulations to these children and a big thank you to family members who came along to join in with the fun!

Celebrating our Golden Stars

Celebrating our Golden Stars

On Tuesday we celebrated some of our Golden Stars for this half term.  These children have worked very hard to keep all our Golden Rules.

Y2 nativity

Y2 nativity

Well, the Y2 nativity was a cracker this year.  It had it all - singing in parts, a little group solo that was beautiful, humour, great acting, fantastic clear-speaking narrators, children who remembered their parts and enjoyed performing. Well done to everyone...

Nursery children perform their nativity

Nursery children perform their nativity

Last night nursery performed their nativity.  It was wonderful; just what a nursery nativity should be.  Children were shouting out to their grown-ups, so pleased to see them.  They did so well and were very proud of their performance.  It made the audience cry!

Noisy Nativities

Noisy Nativities

Our children in Classes 6,7 & 8 performed two brilliant Noisy Nativities this week.  Their singing was wonderful.  They remembered their lines and everyone knew where they should be when.  They made us all very proud.

Forest School

The rainy weather didn’t stop Class 3 from making the most of their Forest School time! The children loved spending the whole day out in the meadow. They planted runner beans, which we are now keeping an eye on in class. The children loved climbing the trees and finding all of the mini-beasts!

Science

The children had great fun making leaf kebabs during their science lesson. They carefully collected a variety of colourful leaves and used sticks to thread them together, creating their own unique designs

Meeting James Ketchell

The explorer James Ketchell came into school to visit the children and tell them all about his adventures. The children were lucky enough to get a chance to sit in his tent and try his ration pack food.
