The emphasis in Year Two is to follow the Key Stage One Curriculum, which focuses on the development of the individual child and provides high quality learning opportunities for the children to learn through play. Father’s Day Breakfast
We have celebrated Fathers' Day this week with two breakfasts. It's been lovely to have so many dads and grandads with us.
Bridlington Visit
We had a terrific day on the beach at Bridlington. The children had such fun, playing with each other, being creative, using their imaginations. There was lots of chatter and laughter.....and fast licking of melting ice creams.
Chatsworth Visit
Nursery had a fabulous time at Chatsworth on Monday. The children enjoyed exploring the beautiful surroundings, taking part in activities, and learning lots of new things. It was a wonderful day filled with fun, excitement, and plenty of smiles.
Our trip to Bridlington
Class 5 had such a lovely day at the seaside. We paddled in the water, built sandcastles, enjoyed ice‑cream, and—most importantly—had loads of fun together.
Valley Music Festival
Well our choir were rather marvellous last night at the Valley Music Festival. The children did themselves, their families and our school proud. There was lots of excitement beforehand, nerves whilst waiting to go on the stage and joy whilst they were performing. A...

Golden Stars
This morning we celebrated more Golden Stars - children who have impressed the grown-ups in school with their behaviour, their attitude, their learning. We are very proud of all of them.
Golden Star Assembly
We held our first Golden Star assembly of the week this morning. We celebrated some children who had been chosen because they work hard to keep our Golden Rules all the time. Well done children and thank you to family and friends for coming along to celebrate with us.

Computer Programming in Class 3
The children in Class 3 have been learning about computer programming this week. We have been practicing our skills by using BeeBots and creating our own challenges with them.
Meeting James Ketchell
The explorer James Ketchell came into school to visit the children and tell them all about his adventures. The children were lucky enough to get a chance to sit in his tent and try his ration pack food.
Visit to Stocksbridge Leisure Centre
The children in Class 3 visited the leisure centre this term and had a blast. We took part in lots of sporting activities and even got the chance to try some indoor curling.
