Last night nursery performed their nativity.  It was wonderful; just what a nursery nativity should be.  Children were shouting out to their grown-ups, so pleased to see them.  They did so well and were very proud of their performance.  It made the audience cry!

Our children in Classes 6,7 & 8 performed two brilliant Noisy Nativities this week.  Their singing was wonderful.  They remembered their lines and everyone knew where they should be when.  They made us all very proud.

Children in Classes 3 & 5 went to The Christian Centre in Stocksbridge to make Christingles.  The children behaved brilliantly.  They listened carefully to the play.  We lit the Christingles, turned out the lights and sang and it was magical.

The police came to visit as part of our work on Hidden Heroes.

On Wednesday our Y2 children learnt Scooter Skills with Paula from Modeshift Stars. They learnt how to check their scooter to make sure it was safe. They learnt how to keep themselves safe by playing games.

Derek came to visit!  We have had such a lovely morning learning all about what Support Dogs do.  We all agreed he is the best behaved dog we've ever met!  

On Wednesday we had to walk, wheel or scoot to school as part of the 10-day Active Challenge.

On Friday 21st our 10-Day active challenge was to take a selfie on your way into school.

Monday was Bling your Bike or Scooter Day as part of the 10-day Active Challenge. We had a parade in the afternoon to show off our 'blinging'.

We had a lovely look at English in school this morning. We saw lots of wonderful things, all the children engaged with their learning, smiling and having fun. Our Ye children were continuing their learning on Florence Nightingale. They looked at old pictures to work...

Our Y1 children have been learning Scooter Skills today with Paula from Modeshift Stars. The chilly weather didn't put anyone off and they had great fun.

Lots of Children in Need activities in Nursery on Friday.  As a school we raised around £250.

On a wet Friday in November, we went into Sheffield on the bus to see if we had won an award for all the work we do around Active Travel. We were runners up for the Best Active Travel Initiative. The way our work has become just part of what we do was recognised.We...

Our second Golden Star Assembly of the last week of Autumn 1 was a lively affair. We all enjoyed it! Well done to the children who were chosen this half term for trying so hard to always keep our Golden Rules. Thank you grown-ups for coming along and joining in the fun.

On Monday we celebrated children who have tried very hard this half term to keep all our Golden Rules.  We had a super assembly.  Parents, grandparents and friends came to enjoy the event.

On Tuesday 21st October, we celebrated Harvest with our Festival.  All the children brought out an offering for our display.  We sang songs and said our thank yous for all the things we have to be grateful for.  Our Alpine Lodge friends came to join in with our...

We all enjoyed The Hare and the Tortoise performed by Tutti Frutti.  It was a terrific show.  Some of our friends from Alpine Lodge came over.  They enjoyed it too.

As part of our learning about Easter we have a hat parade.  There are some marvellous creations!  This year it was a little windy so we had to hold on tight to our hats!

Each week some children visit our friends in Alpine Lodge, our local care home.  We play games with the residents, read stories and share drinks and biscuits together.

In May we celebrated more Golden Stars.  These are children who try very hard to keep our Golden Rules.  

We celebrated Fathers' Day with breakfast in school.  It was so good to see so many dads, grandads, friends

The sun shone for our sports days last week.  The children were wonderful and tried so hard in all their events.  The grown-ups were pretty competitive too! Sports Days were followed by a lovely family picnic on the school field.  it was lovely to have so many family...

Reception children had a great time at their summer celebration last week.  FOSNI  (our little PTA) did a brilliant job of organising and running the event.  

On Friday, we held our first Golden Star assembly of 2025.  A big well done to all of these children (and a few more) who work so hard to keep our Golden Rules and make our school a happy and safe place.

On Friday, Alfie the Elf came to visit to tell the children all about the latest happenings in Santa's workshop.  He made the children (and grown-ups) laugh with stories about Santa's underpants.

This year all the children have attended Christingle Services either here in school or up at the Christian Centre.  They have learnt all about what Christingles mean and sung happy birthday to Jesus.  

Over the last week or so, all our children have taken part in a nativity.  They have sung and danced, acted and said lines.  Some children have overcome their nerves and performed in a nativity for the very first time.  We are so proud of all the children and how well...
